mako introduces the new "flexi
CLIP"-profile system at the following trade fairs:
Domotex at Hannover, Heimtextil at Frankfort and at the
TexBo in Austria.
Expansion towards Eastern Europe.

Our 2nd logistic center
was opened (close to the motorway) in Schillingsfürst.

expansion of mako's own European marketing network. mako’s
products go international - translation in 6 languages.
We launched mako's environmental program.
We switched from combination packaging to ecological mono
material packaging “mako Natura”, reduction
of plastic packaging..
We started to deliver
our products to building center and DIY superstores.
After only 3 years
our premises needed to be extended. A new stock and distribution
depot was added.

our merchandise to specialized decoration retailers.

We started to pack our products according to self-service
requirements and mark them with prices for the customers.
A rack merchandising was established. The first field
service agents were hired and marketing strategies for
direct selling were developed.
The mechanization

During this time period, the machine production sites
were built. (The machines were to some extent linked together
with each other). Most of the machines could combine 3
or more production steps. mako’s innovations have
set standards in the mechanization of paintbrush production.

consisted of 14 people at the moment of moving to the
new site.
Max Kochler, a brush-maker
master craftsman, founded our company as a absolute production
site on March 31,1947 at his parental house. Shortly thereafter
another 3 co-workers were hired.
